What is it?
This is a custom-engineered SSD upgrade designed specifically for the M4 Mac Mini, allowing you to expand your storage without modifying or damaging the original Apple SSD. Unlike Appleβs proprietary storage, which is both expensive and non-upgradable, our plug-and-play SSD solution offers a faster, more affordable, and upgradable alternativeβwhile maintaining compatibility with Appleβs original SSD design constraints.
Why did we make it?
Apple may have made the SSD removable, but they still havenβt made it upgradableβso we did.
We built this for enthusiasts, power users, and professionals who need more storage without limitations. Inspired by our past innovations, such as Aito6, NevBolt, and X-GPU, this SSD upgrade follows our philosophy of pushing Apple devices beyond their intended limitsβwithout compromising stability or reliability.
Why should you upgrade your M4 Mac Mini with this SSD?
- True upgradeability: Swap or expand storage with available sizes from 250GB to 2TB
- Higher capacity @ cheaper price: Get 1TB or 2TB of storage for less than half the price of Appleβs SSD
-
Matching performance: Our SSD designed with impedance controlled 8-Layer PCB that follows PCIe 4.0 constraints while optimizing trace routing, impedance matching, and power efficiency to deliver stability and reliability.
- No permanent modifications: This upgrade requires zero solderingβjust plug it in, and youβre set.
- Built withΒ Murata and Samsung Electronics capacitors, we donβt cut corners by skipping essential components. Our design stays true to Appleβs original PCB and component specifications, ensuring reliability and performance that meets Appleβs standardsβat a fraction of the cost.
Whatβs included in the kit?
-
1x xNAND4 Module ( 1TB or 2TB )
- Tools for disassembly ( option )

FAQ:
1. Will installing this SSD void my Mac Miniβs warranty?
- Technically, if the upgrade is done cleanly and without any visible traces, it shouldn't void your warranty. However, Appleβs warranty policies are subject to their discretion, and Apple's EULA stated that their hardware must be used with the original hardware.Β
2. How long is the warranty?
- This SSD comes with a 1-year warranty or 600TBW (1TB size) or 1200TBW (2TB size) (whichever comes first), ensuring reliability and peace of mind.
3. What is the difference between Kioxia and SanDisk NANDs?
- Kioxia and SanDisk NANDs are both reputable storage solutions, but they come from different manufacturers. While both brands offer high-quality NAND flash memory, some users prefer Kioxia for its proven reliability in enterprise storage, while others choose SanDisk for its widespread use in consumer devices. Ultimately, both options provide solid performance for SSD applications.
- Both of the NAND options use PCIe 4.0, so in terms of performance, they don't differ much. Max Speed depends on the size of the NANDs, and both have the same speed at any given size.Β
- Max Speed for 2TB size is 4800MB/s (Write) & 2900MB/s (Read) - 1GB File size.Β
- Max Speed for 1TB size is 4000MB/s (Write) & 2900MB/s (Read)- 1GB File size.
- Kioxia is a little bit more expensive due to wide compatibility also in the latest iPhone + Mac series.Β
